Use this tab to set the endgame options.
The Endgame Window uses the endgame databases of Kingsrow. These are created by Ed Gilbert.
The Board Window uses the endgame databases to show the best moves with colored arrows. You can set this in the Board Window Context Menu.
Please note: These settings do not apply to the engines. Kingsrow and Flits use the endgame databases set in their engine parameters. Scan always uses its own 6-piece database.
The WLD databases are used to show if an endgame is won, lost or draw.
The DTW databases are used to show the depth.
The depth shows the fastest winning move (if the endgame is won) or the move which postpones the loss the most (if the endgame is lost).
Turbo Dambase is shipped with the WLD databases up to and including 6 pieces.
The WLD databases for 7 and 8 pieces can be download separately (http://edgilbert.org/InternationalDraughts/download_links.htm).
Turbo Dambase is shipped with the DTW databases up to and including 5 pieces.
The DTW databases for 6 and 7 pieces can be download separately (http://edgilbert.org/InternationalDraughts/download_links.htm).
The DTW databases for 8 pieces possibly will be available later.
